Six people, including a female minor, were arrested after they yielded vape products with marijuana flavor in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) said on Sunday, Aug. 17.
Aside from 13 pieces of vape cannabis flavor, CIDG director Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano said his men also confiscated 18 pieces of Ecstasy and three sachets of shabu believed to be containing shabu.
“With this accomplishment, we significantly protect the public especially the youth and minors from the potential health hazards that these vape products and dangerous drugs can cause, and we arrested the alleged sellers of these illicit items,” said Abrahano.
The CIDG operatives mapped out the buy-bust after confirming intelligence reports of the involvement of the group in selling marijuana-flavored vape, which Abrahano said are prohibited products.
During the transaction on the illicit vape products inside a house in Bago Bantay, one of the suspects allegedly offered for sale violet-colored tablets, party drug “ ecstasy” to a police poseur-buyer.
The suspects—four males and two females— were slapped with various criminal charges.
The minor suspect, on the other hand, will be turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
