Weljon Mindoro scores 15th straight knockout win

The 25-year-old pride of Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur dominated the bigger 32-year-old Potes with combinations of slick body shots in the first three rounds before the Colombian decided wave the white flag at the start of the fourth round.
With the win, Mindoro improved to a perfect 15-0 record with 15 knockouts while Potes absorbed his fourth straight defeat for a 14-8-1 record with 10 KOs.
It was another dominant win for Mindoro, who was also coming off a first-round knockout victory of the previously undefeated Omar Munguia last June.
That actually looked to be the case against Potes, though, after he found himself kneeling down to the canvas after absorbing a thudding liver blow from Mindoro.
The Colombian managed to beat the count and survive the opening round but a series of booming body shots in the ensuing rounds had Potes desperately in survival mode.
Potes was trying to clinch against Mindoro when he absorbed another hard hit to the body that forced him to back pedal and knee on the opposite corner in the third round.
In between rounds, Potes corner signaled the referee that he can no longer continue, earning Mindoro another TKO win.
