ILOILO CITY – A stabbing victim and his brother were killed in a vehicular collision on their way to the hospital in Pototan town, Iloilo province, on Friday, Aug. 15.
The Pototan Municipal Police Station identified the victims as Reymar and Reymond Postrado.
Police Major Bryan Alamo, Pototan police chief, said Reymar was stabbed with a bolo by his brother-in-law Mike in Barangay Abangay.
Responding policemen arrested Mike and Reymar’s brothers took him to the hospital in their tricycle.
But their tricycle driven by brother Riyen collided head on with a pickup truck on the national highway in Barangay Rumbang. Reymar and Reymond died in the spot.
“For reasons still under investigation, the motorcycle veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with the Nissan Navarra,” said Alamo.
Riyen was thrown off the motorcycle and slammed into another vehicle. Riyen was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition.
“The incidents remain under active investigation to establish the full circumstances and assign appropriate accountability,” added Alamo.
