Rider from Binondo dances on motorcycle, gets license suspended

A rider from Binondo, Manila has been ordered suspended by the Land Transportation Office (LTO), after a video of him dancing on top of his motorcycle in the middle of traffic went viral on social media.

The incident stemmed from the so-called “boat dance challenge,” which the rider himself uploaded on his Facebook page.

The video shows the man standing and dancing on his motorcycle while vehicles passed by along a busy road in Manila.

Following the viral post, the LTO imposed a 90-day suspension of his driver’s license.

A show cause order was also issued to both the rider and the registered owner of the motorcycle to explain their side on the incident.

Authorities reminded the public that stunts and other reckless acts on public roads are prohibited and punishable under traffic regulations, stressing that such behavior puts lives at risk.
