Las Piñas gov't acquires new patrol boat, utility vehicle for effective enforcement of Fisheries Law

Las Piñas City Mayor April Aguilar led the blessing ceremony of the newly acquired patrol boat and utility vehicle of the City Agriculture Office to further strengthen fisheries law enforcement, tagging of mariculture structures, and geotagging of coastal boundaries.
Aguilar said the office will also use the patrol boat to enhance the its capacity to respond to incidents and disasters.
She said the patrol boat will help in the conduct of regular monitoring of the city’s waterways, assisting fisherfolk, and ensuring the protection of marine resources.
The city government said the vehicles form part of the its continuing programs to promote environmental protection, disaster preparedness, and support for the local fishing community.
