2 housemaids, cohort nabbed for attempted theft in Manila

Two housemaids and their female accomplice were arrested for attempting to steal items from their employer in Barangay Sta. Mesa, Manila, on Thursday, Aug. 14, the Manila Police District (MPD) said.
The suspects were identified as alias Edna, 34, alias Flordeliza, 44, and alias Baby Girl, 34. Edna and Flordeliza were housemaids employed by the complainant, a widower.
Based on the police report, the complainant saw Edna outside of his residence engaged in a phone call.
Upon entering his house, he discovered that the room of his maids is empty and some of his belongings missing. This prompted him to go outside and look for Edna who had already escaped.
The complainant eventually spotted the suspects at a bus terminal in Cubao where he recovered his stolen belongings from their possession, including various clothes, blankets, and other household items worth P8,315.
The victim and the terminal's security guard immediately sought assistance to the police resulting in the suspects' arrests.
Further investigation revealed that the three women were heading for Bolinao, Pangasinan.
The three are now detained at the Sta. Mesa Police Station and facing charges of qualified theft.
