Las Piñas LGU distributes cash assistance to senior citizens

Las Piñas City Mayor April Aguilar led the distribution of cash assistance of P10,000 each to more than 500 senior citizens in the city last August 7.
Aguilar said the beneficiaries, with ages ranging from 80 to 95, were entitled to receive cash assistance from the city government under the centenarian program.
She said the cash assistance may be used for their daily needs, especially for their maintenance medicines.
The mayor said the assistance is the city government's way of recognizing the seniors' valuable contribution to the community.
Aguilar assured that senior citizens will continue to receive support and other assistance, particularly for their medical needs, from the local government.
