Floating contraband in Eastern Samar confirmed to be cocaine valued at P19 M
TACLOBAN CITY -- Authorities confirmed that the stash of suspected illegal drug found floating in the sea of Hernani, Eastern Samar on Thursday was cocaine.
Laboratory analysis on Friday said that 3.6 kilos of cocaine in six black bricks labeled Coca Racing valued at P19 million was recovered by a fisherman.
The contraband was turned over to the Hernani Municipal Police Station.
Police Brig. Gen. Jason Capoy, Police Regional 8 director, urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious items or activities to authorities.
