A bomb scare at the City of Malabon University (CMU) prompted the suspension of classes and the evacuation of students on Friday, August 15.
Police said the report was received shortly after 12 p.m.
Responders from the Navotas Explosive and Ordnance Division and the Malabon City Police Station (MCPS) inspected the campus and secured the area.
Students were ordered to leave the premises immediately, while face-to-face classes were suspended and shifted to asynchronous learning as a precaution.
Authorities later confirmed that no explosive device was found and the campus was declared safe at 2:21 p.m.
As of this writing, investigation is ongoing to identify the person behind the threat.
Authorities warned the public against spreading false information.
