FLOATING shabu discovered in Bataan. (PRO-3 FB)
Police recovered six sacks of suspected floating shabu valued at P802 million in the shoreline of Barangay Sisiman, Mariveles, Bataan.
Inside were 118 packs weighing a kilo each.
The contraband was discovered near a lighthouse following information from a concerned citizen.
An inventory was conducted in the presence of media representatives, barangay officials, and a Department of Justice representative.
The recovered items were turned over to the Bataan Forensic Unit for laboratory examination and proper disposition.
Police Regional Office-3 chief Police Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Penones Jr. cited the swift action of the police and the cooperation of the public for the discovery.
“This significant recovery is a testament to what can be achieved when the community and law enforcement work hand-in-hand. We commend the concerned citizen who came forward and our operating units for their swift and coordinated action. Every kilo of drugs we take off the streets is a step closer to safeguarding our communities and securing a better future for our nation."
