P1.1M worth of illegal drugs seized in QC buy-bust operations
Police seized a total of P1,195,440 worth of shabu and arrested four suspected drug personalities in two separate buy-bust operations in Quezon City on Wednesday, August 13.
According to the police, the operations were carried out by the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) and Batasan Police Station 6 as part of the district’s intensified anti-drug campaign.
The first operation around 2:40 p.m. along Congressional Avenue in Barangay Pasong Tamo led to the arrest of alias “Nicole”, 24, resident of Saudi Quezon City, alias “John Cedrick”, 25, and alias “Christian Jay,” 25, both residents of Barangay Tandang Sora.
An undercover operative acted as a poseur-buyer and purchased P34,000 worth of shabu from the suspects.

Recovered from the suspects were 50.8 grams of shabu valued at P345,440; three mobile phones; a red sedan; and the buy-bust money.
Another operation was conducted at 8:40 p.m. along Luzon Avenue in Barangay. Old Balara.
The operation resulted in the arrest of a suspect who sold P5,000 worth of shabu to an undercover officer.
Confiscated from him were 125 grams of shabu worth P50,000, a mobile phone, and the buy-bust money.
All arrested suspects will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
