Drug pusher yields P400,000 shabu in Tanay drug op

A high-value individual (HVI) wanted for illegal drugs was arrested by the Tanay Municipal Police on Wednesday night, Aug. 13, in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Plaza Aldea, Tanay, Rizal.

The police identified the suspect as alias Putol, 54. Putol was tagged as a notorious drug pusher operating in other parts of the province.

The suspect was nabbed after an undercover police officer successfully bought P1,000 worth of drugs from him.

Police recovered 60 grams of shabu worth P408,000 and other drug-related items.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said the suspect is currently detained at the Police Custodial Facility while the recovered pieces of evidence were brought to the Provincial Forensic Unit for testing.

Putol is facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
