Four suspected peddlers of illicit drugs in various areas of Bulacan province who had long been under surveillance were arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 13.
According to the police, the suspects were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted in the towns of Marilao, Sta. Maria, and Baliwag City.
Lt. Col. Russel Dennis Reburiano, PIU chief of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, stated that of the four arrested suspects, the first to be apprehended was alias “Muslim,” 53, of Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
Alias Muslim was arrested by the combined forces of the PIU, the Bulacan Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit, the Baliwag City police, and the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company at around 3:00 p.m. in Brgy. Pagala, Baliwag City, during a buy-bust operation, following casing and surveillance that confirmed the suspect’s illegal drugs activities.

Recovered from the suspect were two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing about 20.5 grams and valued at ₱139,400, the buy-bust money, four pieces of ₱1,000 boodle money, one cellphone, and an SUV.

Meanwhile, reports submitted by the Baliwag City and Sta. Maria Police Stations stated that separate buy-bust operations conducted by their respective stations' drug enforcement units resulted in the arrest of three more suspects.
In these operations, police confiscated 10 plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of ₱59,160, along with the buy-bust money.
The arrested suspects and the confiscated evidence were taken to their respective stations for proper documentation and for the filing of cases in court.
