Mayor April hails 1,300 students for rendering community service

Las Piñas City Mayor April Aguilar recognized more than 1,300 students who graduated from the National Service Training Program (NSTP) and rendered community service.
Aguilar thanked the exceptional students who made significant contributions to the community through volunteer work and service-oriented projects.
In a simple ceremony, Aguilar awarded a certificate of recognition to the student volunteers for their dedication to helping fellow residents, especially during outreach activities.
The mayor said each student rendered more than four hours of teaching the out-of-school youth, conducting livelihood training, disaster preparedness, waste management, drug awareness, teenage pregnancy prevention, feeding program, and beautification of their barangays.
Aguilar said the dedication of the young individuals is proof that leadership and compassion start at any age and expressed hope that their selfless efforts may inspire others to take part in building a stronger and caring community.
She also encouraged the graduates to continue to be part of the community to serve and help, and assured them of the local government’s full support to youth empowerment programs that will shape a better future for them.
