6 injured in Caloocan storage fire

Six people were injured after a fire broke out in a storage area along Guido 3, Barangay 33-A, Mabini Street, Maypajo, Caloocan City, on Tuesday, August 12.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the victims included a 15-year-old boy who sustained a puncture wound, a 65-year-old man who experienced difficulty in breathing, a 62-year-old man with hypertension, a 55-year-old man who suffered abrasions, and two men, 47 and 34 years old who sustained lacerations.

The BFP said the blaze started at 4:35 a.m. and reached the second alarm at 5:01 a.m.

Firefighters placed the fire under control at 6:18 a.m.

As of this writing, firefighters are still trying to contain the blaze.
