PAGASA said typhoon Gorio exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 4 p.m.
As of 5 p.m., the center of the typhoon was located 325 kilometers northwest of Itbayat, Batanes, moving west-northwestward at 25 kph.
After making landfall over southern Taiwan, Gorio slightly weakened, with maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center and gusts of up to 230 kph.
Following the typhoon’s exit, PAGASA has lifted the tropical cyclone wind signals previously in effect over Batanes.
11 a.m., Aug. 13
Typhoon Gorio is about to make landfall over southern Taiwan.
Its center was located 160 kilometers north of Itbayat, Batanes, moving westward at 25 kilometers per hour (kph).
Gorio further intensified with maximum sustained winds of 155 kph near the center and gusts of up to 215 kph.
After its landfall, the typhoon is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility this afternoon or evening.

The center of typhoon Gorio was located 165 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, moving west-northwestward at 25 kilometers per hour (kph).
It has maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center and gusts of up to 170 kph.
Gorio is expected to maintain its typhoon strength until landfall over southern Taiwan, after which it may weaken while continuing west-northwestward.
It is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by this afternoon or evening.

The center of typhoon Gorio was located 300 kilometers east-northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, moving westward at 20 kilometers per hour (kph).
It had maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gusts of up to 160 kph.
PAGASA said Gorio is expected to continue moving west-northwestward and make landfall over the eastern coast of southern Taiwan by Wednesday morning or afternoon, Aug. 13.
It is also seen to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility late Wednesday.

Typhoon Gorio was located 440 kilometers east of Itbayat, Batanes, packing maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 150 kph.
It is expected to move generally westward over the next 12 hours, before turning west-northwestward for the rest of the forecast period.
Gorio may still make landfall over the eastern coast of southern Taiwan by Wednesday morning or afternoon, Aug. 13, and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Wednesday afternoon or evening.

The center of typhoon Gorio (international name “Podul”) was located 560 kilometers east of Itbayat, Batanes.
It was packing maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts of up to 150 kph, while moving westward at 25 kph.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 was hoisted over Batanes as minimal to minor impacts from strong winds are expected in the province.
PAGASA said the typhoon may continue moving west-northwestward over the forecast period.
On its current track, Gorio may make landfall along the eastern coast of Taiwan on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 13, and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Wednesday evening.

Tropical cyclone “Gorio” (international name: Podul) intensified from a severe tropical storm to a typhoon over the Philippine Sea.
Its center was located 745 kilometers east of Itbayat, Batanes, with maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 150 kph.
The typhoon is moving westward at 25 kph.
Gorio is still unlikely to directly affect any part of the country within the next three days.
However, a slight southward shift in its track could lead to the possible issuance of tropical cyclone wind signal over extreme Northern Luzon, particularly Batanes today or tomorrow, Aug. 13.
Gorio is expected to maintain its strength before making landfall on the eastern coast of Taiwan by tomorrow afternoon and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by evening.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said severe tropical storm Gorio has maintained its strength as it moves west-norhtwestward over the Philippine Sea.
Its center was located 910 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon, with maximum sustained winds of 110 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 135 kilometers per hour.
PAGASA said Gorio is expected to move generally westward over the next 12 hours, then turn west-northwestward from Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 12, until the end of the forecast period.
It may make landfall along the eastern coast of Taiwan on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 13, and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by the evening.
Gorio remains far from the Philippine landmass and is not expected to have a direct effect on any part of the country.

It was located 1,045 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon, with maximum sustained winds of 110 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 135 kilometers per hour.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Gorio remains unlikely to directly affect the country within the next three days.
It is still expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Wednesday evening, Aug. 13.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the severe tropical storm with the international name “Podul” has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has been given the local name “Gorio.”
Gorio is the second tropical cyclone to enter the PAR this month and the seventh for 2025.
