Man stabbed dead by stepbrother over old grudge

BACOLOD CITY – A man was stabbed to death by his stepbrother over an old grudge in a computer shop in Barangay Rizal, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Sunday, Aug. 10.
Police Lt. Col. Nazer Canja, said the 27-year-old suspect, Lex, allegedly stabbed his 41-year-old stepbrother Ian while he was using a computer.
Ian sustained stab wounds in the chest and left arm, and was declared dead in a hospital.
The suspect fled but was arrested in his house.
The murder weapon was recovered in a canal.
Canja said prior to the incident, Lex reportedly was enraged over Ian’s behavior that caused embarrassment to their father.
The victim’s child expressed willingness to pursue murder charges against the suspect.
