Korean film 'My Daughter is a Zombie' surpasses three million viewers
The comedy horror movie “My Daughter is a Zombie” has surpassed three million viewers in South Korea.
“My Daughter is a Zombie” stars Jo Jung-suk, Choi Yoo-ri, Lee Jung-eun, Cho Yeo-jeong and Yoon Kyung-ho.
The movie tells the story of a wild animal trainer, Jung-hwan (Jo Jung-suk), whose daughter Lee Soo-a (Choi Yoo-ri) becomes infected with the zombie virus.
Since its release in South Korea on July 30, “My Daughter is a Zombie” has topped the daily and weekend box office.
On Aug. 9, “My Daughter is a Zombie” has recorded 3.02 million in total admissions with a gross of $20.44 million, breaching the three-million mark in 11 days.
As of Aug. 10, the movie has reached 3.35 million in total cinema admissions and recorded a gross of $22.72 million, based on data from the Korean Film Council (KOFIC).
For the weekend box office from Aug. 8 to 10, “My Daughter is a Zombie” grabbed the No. 1 spot, garnering 840,484 in total admissions and gross of $5.89 million.
