Alas Pilipinas reaffirmed its mastery over Indonesia, 25-17, 25-17, 28-26, to clinch the bronze medal in the second and final leg of the 5th SEA Women’s V.League in Ninh, Vietnam on Sunday, Aug. 10.
It was the fourth straight bronze medal and sixth overall in the Filipinas, whose performance already showed their readiness for the Southeast Asian Games in Thailand this December.
The win came after back-to-back losses to Vietnam and Thailand, two teams who are competing for the gold medal at press time.
Eya Laure and Bella Belen sparked Alas’ run in the fourth set, erasing a 13-9 deficit en route to sealing the win.
