Step into the grand lobby of Solaire Resort North and your eyes can’t help but travel upward. Standing at 25.396 meters tall, “The Mangrove” captures the strength of nature and the elegance of human design in a way that stops visitors in their tracks. This monumental glass sculpture now holds the Guinness World Records title for the Largest Glass Tube Installation.

It’s not just a record-breaker. It’s a statement.
“We wanted a signature piece that would greet guests with awe the moment they entered the property,” Gregory Hawkins, president and COO of Bloomberry Resorts told Manila Bulletin Lifestyle. “From the very beginning, our vision was bold and ambitious.”
Walking through wonder
Designed by acclaimed sculptor Nikolas Weinstein in collaboration with interior design group Habitus, “The Mangrove” took more than four years of meticulous planning, engineering, and craftsmanship to complete. Originally envisioned as a tree-like form, the design evolved into something far more immersive—splitting the roots so guests could walk through and beneath the work.

This wasn’t just a design choice; it was an invitation. As you step under its glass “roots” and look up, you’re encouraged to explore and connect with the spirit of the property.
“It’s a tribute to nature’s quiet strength and the boundless elegance of human design,” Gregory shared. “More than a visual marvel, ‘The Mangrove’ symbolizes the many layers of experience that await here—from dining and relaxation to discovery and transformation.”
A record worth celebrating
The official Guinness World Records adjudication turned the lobby into a celebration. Guests and employees gathered as the record was confirmed, marking a proud moment for the resort on its first anniversary.
“This achievement underscores our commitment to excellence,” Gregory said. “It’s a testament to the dedication of our entire team and a proud milestone for everyone who helped make this vision a reality.”
While the art installation may be the showstopper, it’s far from the only reason to visit. Food lovers can embark on a culinary journey through 13 dining options—soon to be 14—ranging from casual bites to indulgent fine dining. Families can splash in the L-shaped luxury pool, unwind at the waterpark, or enjoy the Kids Club, while wellness enthusiasts have the Health Club, spa, salon, and outdoor fitness deck to explore.
A dedicated family-access walkway makes it easy for guests of all ages to move around comfortably, ensuring every visit is both seamless and memorable.
A landmark for Quezon City
In just one year, Solaire Resort North has welcomed thousands of guests, created jobs, and added a new chapter to the city’s cultural and tourism landscape. Now, with a Guinness World Record to its name, the resort has cemented its place as both a luxury destination and an artistic landmark.
“To be honored by Guinness World Records is to join a league of the world’s most extraordinary achievements. With ‘The Mangrove,’ Solaire Resort North doesn’t just redefine what art can be, but it also reimagines what a world-class destination can inspire,” Gregory said. “As we celebrate our first anniversary, we are proud of this title. It’s a testament to our commitment to excellence and a moment of pride for everyone who helped make this vision a reality.”
“The Mangrove” isn’t just a piece of art—it’s an experience. It’s the first thing you see when you arrive, and perhaps the last image you carry home. It is a reminder that beauty, strength, and imagination can intertwine to create something truly unforgettable.
