Phillips finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks, including the game-winning rejection in the last 23 seconds of the game.
Mason Amos chipped in 14 points, five rebounds, and one assist, while Pablo and Vhoris Marasigan added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Wu and Sung Hsin-Hao conspired for 41 points with Te-Chi contributing 17 for the Taiwanese, which lost their big man Boubacar Mboup as the Senegalese big man got fouled out with less than three minutes left in the match.
Meanwhile, University of the Philippines is battling last year’s bridesmaid Korea University at press time.
