ZAMBOANGA CITY – A fire hit the Hall of Justice in Barangay Zone IV here before dawn on Saturday, Aug. 9.
The Bureau of Fire Protection and the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office put out the fire that
started at 3:31 a.m. and declared under control at 3:58 a.m.

Nobody was killed or injured in the fire.
The fire also hit several offices located at the back of the building that houses several court offices and is the main venue where criminal and civil cases are heard and decided.
Initial investigation said that the fire started from documents stacked at Room 314 and quickly spread. Arson investigation is ongoing.
Damage to property was estimated at P800,000.
