CSC reminds August 10 Civil Service examinees to follow rules

With thousands set to take the Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) on August 10, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has issued reminders to ensure examinees arrive on time, follow the dress code, and comply with testing rules.
The CSC reminded examinees to be at the testing venue not later than 6:30 a.m., or as specified by the concerned CSC Regional or Field Office. 
Gates will close at 7:45 a.m., and latecomers will not be admitted to take the exam, it added.
The agency stressed that a “No ID, No Exam” policy will be strictly implemented and examinees should bring a valid ID, preferably the one used during application.
“Wear appropriate attire, preferably plain white shirts or tops,” CSC said.
“Examinees wearing sleeveless shirt and blouse, shorts or tokong pants, ripped jeans, and slippers will not be allowed to enter the exam venue,” it added.
Also, the agency said examinees with long hair are advised to tie it back to keep it neat and make the face visible for verification.
The CSC said calculators, including watch calculators, or any other forms of aid in answering the test, are not allowed. 
“Electronic devices (e.g., mobile phones, smartwatches, tablets) are not permitted at examinees’ seats,” it stated.
The commission said only the examinee number assigned in the Examinee Attendance Sheet should be used, and examinees are urged to take note of this number for later use in generating their test results.
According to the agency, booklets must not be brought out of the testing room or venue. 
Meanwhile, the CSC said scratch work is allowed only in designated areas of the test booklet. 
“Writing on answer sheets, clothing, body parts, margins, or any unauthorized space is not permitted,” it added,
The agency noted that black ball pens may be used to fill out the answer sheet, as other types or colors of pens, such as gel pens, sign pens, fountain pens, or friction pens, are not allowed.
