Criminology student, 2 others nabbed in P1.36-M shabu bust in Taguig
Police arrested three men, including a criminology student, and seized P1.36 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Taguig on Aug. 8.
The operation was carried out by the Southern Police District's Drug Enforcement Unit and Taguig Police Substation 9 in a hotel on MLQ Road in Barangay Lower Bicutan.
The three suspects, tagged by the police as high-value individuals, were identified as alias Tol, 21, unemployed; Jhon Carlo, 21, a criminology student; and Arnold, 40, an e-bike driver.
Tol yielded 100 grams of shabu, buy-bust money, and a cell phone while the police recovered 50 grams of shabu each from John Carlo and Arnold. The total shabu haul was 200 grams valued at P1.36 million .
The police will file a complaint against the three suspects for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Acting SPD district director Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo said, “This is a strong message to drug traffickers — SPD’s pursuit is relentless, and no criminal activity will escape our radar.”
