Baby shot dead, mother, grandma wounded in Laguna shooting

SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna - An 11-month-old baby girl was shot dead while her mother and grandmother were wounded  in an eatery in Barangay Gregorio, this city, on Friday night, Aug. 8.
Police identified the fatality as baby Catherine, and injured were Rhea, 30, vendor, and Mercelita, 56, widow.
Investigation said the  victims were eating dinner when a man entered and shot the victims.
The baby sustained a bullet wound in the body and was declared dead in a hospital. 
Rhea and Marcelita were taken to a hospital and recovering.
The gunman fled   on board a motorcycle driven by a companion.
Police are conducting follow-up and manhunt operations.
