Quezon City gov't to hold 'More to Explore' travel expo to boost local tourism
The Quezon City government will hold a travel expo from August 16 to 17 at QC M.I.C.E. Center, located within the Quezon City Hall compound, to promote local tourism and drive economic recovery.
Spearheaded by the Quezon City Tourism Department in partnership with the Quezon City Travel Agencies Association (QCTAA) and the Department of Tourism (DOT), the event aims to reintroduce Quezon City as a vibrant travel destination.
“Through this Travel Expo, we want travelers and tourists to see Quezon City not just as a jump-off point, but as a destination worth discovering—with its own cultural gems, hidden wonders, and rich history,” Mayor Joy Belmonte said.
Open to the public and free of charge, the two-day expo will gather over 120 exhibitors from the travel, hospitality, and lifestyle sectors.
Participating booths will feature travel agencies, airlines, hotels, resorts, and food and leisure brands offering exclusive travel deals, curated packages, and immersive experiences.
To encourage public attendance, the city will provide free transportation through its QCity Bus Libreng Sakay program, with designated stops near the venue.
A key highlight of the event will be the complimentary walking tours organized by the Quezon City Tourism Department.
Starting at the M.I.C.E. Center, the guided tours will take visitors to notable cultural and historical landmarks, including QC Underparadisso, Quezon Heritage House, Bahay Modernismo, and the Presidential Car Museum.
Participants will also enjoy a special side trip to the Tandang Sora Women’s Museum.
