Fire destroys Eastern Samar mayor's house

TACLOBAN CITY – A fire gutted the house of Llorente, Eastern Samar Mayor Christine Cardona in Llorente on Thursday morning, Aug. 7.
Initial investigation disclosed that Cardona was traveling when the fire broke out.
The caretaker said the fire originated at around 11 a.m. from one of the structures in the receiving area made of light materials.
The fire allegedly caused by an electrical short circuit was put out after 30 minutes at around 11:30 a.m.
Damage to property is yet to be determined. No casualties or injuries were reported.
