Chevrolet brings the Groove to the small crossover market

Chevrolet is looking to shake up the small crossover segment with the arrival of its latest contender. That vehicle is the all-new Chevrolet Groove, just unveiled by Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Chevrolet cars in the Philippines.
The all-new Groove is Chevrolet Philippines' contender in the hotly contested subcompact crossover SUV category. It features smart styling, advanced safety, connectivity, cabin space, and is fuel-efficient.
Exterior
The all-new Chevrolet Groove has a sporty, modern design. Up front, the combination of LED projector headlamps with Daytime Running Lights and fog lamps give the front end a distinct look. While the rear is also equipped with LED taillights and fog lamps. Adding to its sporty look are the front and rear carbon fiber-look skirts, as well as a rear hatch spoiler along with a shark fin antenna on the roof. It’s capped off by functional dual-exhaust at the back and two-tone 17-inch alloy wheels.
Interior
Leather sport-type seats with red stitching give the interior an upscale and sporty feel, offering enhanced support and comfort. The driver’s seat is six-way power adjustable. The multi-function D-type steering wheel, has controls for adaptive cruise control, audio settings, voice commands, and other settings. Vital vehicle details can be seen on the seven-inch digital instrument cluster. It’s paired with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto hooked up to six speakers. The rear seats are 60:40 folding with a cargo capactity of 436-liters with the second-row seats upright. This grows to 1,120 liters with the rear seats folded forward.
Powertrain
Under the hood is a DOHC 1.5L turbocharged MPI gasoline engine with DVCP, that puts out max power of 150PS at 5200rpm with 255Nm of torque beteen 1600-3600rpm, paired with to CVT which drives the front wheels,
Advenced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS)
The Groove is equipped with a suite of active smart safety features, like adaptive cruise control with Traffic Jam Assist, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, Lane Departure Prevention and Emergency Lane Keeping.
Convenience and safety
Rain-sensing wipers come standard along with power-adjust and folding side mirrors with heating function to prevent fogging on rainy days. Its LED headlamps feature a Follow Me Home function. While driving, Intelligent High Beam Assist comes into play to automatically dim them to avoid blinding oncoming cars.
It's also accessory-ready as its rearview mirror comes with a USB port to easily connect a dash camera. Gadgets can be charged with the 12v power outlet in the center console, as well as Type A and C USB power outlets in the front and rear. A retractable tonneau cover in the rear allows drivers to hide sensitive items or accommodate bulky cargo.
For stop and go traffic, there’s the electric park brake with Auto Hold and sequential turn signals. Parking sensors and a reverse camera make it easy to park.
For safety, it has six airbags, seatbelts with reminders, ISOFIX child seat anchors, ABS, EBD, ESC, TCS, HBA and Hill Start Assist.

Pricing
The all-new Chevrolet Groove starts at ₱1,268,000, but is offered at an exclusive introductory price of ₱1,156,000 for a limited time. It’s available in the following colors: White, Tungsten Grey and Star Twinkle Black.
