Capoy tapped to head PRO-8

TACLOBAN CITY -- Police Brig. Gen. Jason Capoy assumed leadership of the Police Regional Office-8 on Friday during a ceremony at the PRO-8 headquarters in Camp Kangleon, Palo, Leyte.
Police Major Gen. Neri Vincent Ignacio, acting Chief Directorial Staff of the Philippine National Police (PNP), presided over a joint turnover of office ceremony with the Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP).
Capoy is an alumnus of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) “Tagapaglunsad” Class of 1993.
He was promoted to police brigadier general on April 2, 2025.
He was the director of the PNP AVSEGROUP on June 20, 2025, before his assignment to PRO-8.
Capoy switched posts with Police Brig. Gen. Jay Cumigad.
Cumigad thanked the men and women of PRO-8 for their dedication and cooperation during his tenure.
