In a statement, Ayala said the partnership will focus on the distribution of affordable medicines and other medical products developed by Dexa Group.
This will leverage AC Health’s integrated ecosystem—covering over 800 Generika and St. Joseph Drug stores, more than 220 clinics and 6 hospitals under Healthway Medical Network, and the groups importation and distribution arm, IE Medica, which supports the introduction of new and relevant therapeutic solutions into the Philippines market.
“This partnership builds on our shared commitment to make healthcare more accessible, while continuing to raise the bar on quality,” said AC Health President and CEO Paolo Borromeo.
He added that, “Dexa Group brings deep pharmaceutical expertise and a science-driven approach that complements AC Health’s expanding network of retail, provider, and specialty care assets. Together, we aim to serve more communities and deliver better value and outcomes for patients.”
The partnership also signals the creation of a joint project committee and the exploration of long-term synergies in distribution, wholesale, and innovation in health delivery across the country.
“More than a commercial collaboration, this is a convergence of purpose. By bringing together Dexa’s research capabilities with AC Health’s reach and mission-driven orientation, we are laying the groundwork for a more inclusive and future-ready healthcare system,” said Dexa Group CEO Ferry Soetikno.
Dexa Group is one of Indonesia’s largest pharmaceutical companies, known for its robust manufacturing capabilities, cutting-edge research and development, and evidence-based product lines across generics, oncology, and herbal medicine. It develops clinically validated nutraceuticals and phytomedicines with global export potential.
This partnership with AC Health marks Dexa’s first formal strategic collaboration in the Philippines—a significant step in its regional expansion.
“At the heart of this collaboration is our shared commitment to people. Through AC Health Pharma’s nationwide reach we have the privilege of serving millions of Filipinos every day,” said AC Health Pharma President and CEO Atty. Yet Abarca.
He added that, “This partnership with the Dexa Group allows us to deepen that impact by expanding access to clinically backed, affordable medicines that respond to real needs in our communities.”
