2 police officers in Caraga promoted to colonel

CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Two police commissioned officers (PCO) of the Police Regional Office-13 took their oath as full-fledged colonels during a donning and oath-taking ceremony here on Thursday, Aug. 7.

Police Colonels Glenn C. Sampaga and Marlon A. Kamatoy were promoted based on General Order NHQ-GO-PR-3772.

Sampaga is the acting chief of the PRO 13-Regional Logistics and Research Development Division while Kamatoy is the acting chief of the PRO-13 Regional Comptrollership Division.

They are members of the PNPA “Buklod-Diwa” Class of 2001.

“To our newly promoted officers, remember that promotion is a call to embrace even greater responsibility,” PRO-13 Director Brig. Gen. Marcial Mariano P. Magistrado IV said.

“Beyond honor, it is about growth, accountability, and leadership. Let us remember, our titles may change, but our purpose remains the same. Grow not in pride, but in humility – acknowledging that without God, we can do nothing,” said Magistrado.
