The Taguig police arrested a delivery warehouse supervisor for allegedly stealing P100,000 in company funds.
Personnel from the Taguig police’s Tipas Substation 5 responded to a report of internal theft at a delivery warehouse in Barangay Calzada-Tipas.
The suspect, a branch supervisor and a resident of Central Signal Village, was caught on CCTV entering the cash-on-delivery room and taking a cash bundle amounting to P100,000.
He was seen concealing the cash in his clothing before leaving the premises aboard a scooter. The incident was promptly reported by the company’s area manager through its legal officer.
A tracker team from the Tipas Substation 5 launched a follow-up operation. They located the suspect and arrested him in Cavite where he was found in possession of the stolen cash and the motorcycle.
The recovered money and the motorcycle were turned over to the Taguig police’s Station Investigation and Detective Management Section (SIDMS) for proper documentation.
He will face charges for qualified theft under the Revised Penal Code.
