Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno" Domagoso personally visited the evacuees temporarily staying at Gen. Vicente Lim Elementary School to distribute financial aid and oversee relief operations.
The mayor, accompanied by Vice Mayor Chi Atienza and several city officials, led the distribution of P15,000 cash assistance to each of the affected families.
“Makikita sa mga ngiti ng ating mga kababayan ang pag-asa (You can see hope in the smiles of our fellow citizens, said Mayor Isko. “Hindi namin kayo pababayaan (We will not abandon you),” the mayor said.
The Manila Department of Social Welfare (MDSW), under Director Jay Dela Fuente, facilitated the aid distribution.
Local leaders such as Councilors Jesus “Taga” Fajardo, Erick Ian “Banzai” Nieva, Col. Jhun Ibay, Dr. Irma Alfonso, and Joaquin Domagoso were also present to show support and ensure proper coordination.
Congressman Ernix Dionisio sent a message of solidarity and assured that further assistance from the national level will be extended.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) also provided essential goods, including food packs, hygiene kits, and cooking materials.
Mobile kitchens have also been set up to provide hot meals, while medical teams were deployed to attend to minor injuries and check for signs of trauma, dehydration, and respiratory problems due to smoke inhalation.
Meanwhile, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has launched a full investigation into the incident.
The fire, which reached Task Force Charlie, demanded assistance from multiple fire stations and took several hours to contain due to narrow alleyways and the tightly packed structures common in Aroma Compound.

Preliminary findings suggest that illegal cable tapping and wire stripping were likely to have caused the fire.
Two individuals were reportedly arrested during the fire for attempting to steal electric cables.
The mayor stressed that those responsible would face charges and that the city government is working with barangay officials and law enforcement to track down others involved.
Authorities are preparing relocation options for families who lost their homes and plan to increase the presence of fire prevention officers and barangay safety marshals in high-risk communities.
The city also intends to strengthen enforcement of regulations against illegal electrical connections and to roll out a community fire safety education campaign.
“Hindi lang tayo magtatapos sa pagbibigay ng ayuda. Tuloy-tuloy po ang ating suporta hanggang sa makabangon muli ang bawat pamilya (We won’t stop at simply providing aid. Our support will continue until every family has recovered)," said Vice Mayor Chi Atienza.
Clearing operations have already begun at the fire site, led by the city’s waste management office.
The local government is also working with private donors and non-governmental organizations to deliver longer-term assistance and support rebuilding efforts.
Domagoso called for unity and compassion in the wake of the tragedy.
“Sa ganitong panahon, mas kailangang magkaisa. Bantayan natin ang isa’t isa, alalayan ang nangangailangan, at pairalin ang malasakit (Let’s look out for one another, support those in need, and lead with compassion. In times like these, we must be united. In times like these, we must be united)."
