Korean Air is the latest to join the wave of making comfort flying a bit more accessible through its premium economy class.
While the luxuries of a business class may seem out of reach for many flyers, the allure of premium economy seats is the closest taste of the high life. Think quality flight service and spacious seating at a price that doesn't cut too deep into the pockets.
What does premium economy offer?
For Korean Air's premium economy seats, passengers can expect new seats and an upgraded in-flight experience. There will be 50 percent more legroom than the standard economy offerings. Seats will also have foot and leg rests, ergonomic headrests, and sides at the head level designed for more privacy. Flyers can also expect a high-quality in-flight entertainment screen. Premium economy passengers also get an upgraded in-flight menu experience, as they gain access to Korean Air's Prestige Class menu. Meals will also be elegantly served with Armani/Casa tableware. Other perks include priority check-in, boarding, and baggage-handling.
When will these offerings roll out?
This new form of affordable high-class flying is expected to roll out as early as mid-September. Selected routes coming from Seoul Incheon Airport will be offering the flight option for short to medium-haul routes.
