A 44-year-old man was arrested for stabbing his wife after a domestic altercation due to jealousy inside their home in Pasay City on August 5.

Pasay City Police Chief Col. Joselito de Sesto said the suspect, Boy, was immediately arrested after the stabbing incident at around 11:05 p.m. at Andrews Avenue, Barangay 184, Maricaban, Pasay City.
The victim, Arlyn, suffered one stab wound on her back and was rushed to the Pasay City General Hospital for treatment.
The police said the “balisong” used in stabbing the victim remained embedded in her back and was removed by attending physicians.
De Sesto said the investigation showed the suspect, who was under the influence of liquor, confronted Arlyn after attending a wake due to jealousy. A heated argument ensued.
The city police chief said records also showed the victim filed a complaint at their barangay last April because of the suspect's alleged jealousy.
The suspect, who admitted to committing the crime, has been placed under the custody of the Investigation and Detective Management Section (IDMS) and was charged with frustrated parricide and for violation of RA 9262, also known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act of 2004.
