4 armed men rob Indian nationals of P1.4-M, passports in Rizal
Authorities are hunting down four suspects who barged into a house and robbed Indian nationals of over P1.4 million worth of cash and valuables in Cainta, Rizal, on Tuesday, Aug. 5.
The Cainta Municipal Police Station (Cainta MPS) said the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon while the victims were inside their house in Barangay Sto. Niño.
According to authorities, four still unidentified men suddenly barged into the house and declared a hold-up at gunpoint.
The suspects stole the vault containing P200,000, assorted jewelry worth around P1,000,000, three mobile phones and an iPad worth P123,000, and five wristwatches worth P90,000. They also took the victims’ passports.
After the robbery, the suspects allegedly fled toward Felix Avenue aboard a black Ford Territory SUV.
Personnel of the Cainta MPS have conducted backtracking and forward-tracking of the CCTV footage in the area.
They are also conducting a follow-up operation for the possible arrest of the suspects and the recovery of the stolen items.
