Robber armed with barbecue stick arrested in Marikina
A 37-year-old man who allegedly used a barbecue stick to rob a woman was arrested in Barangay Concepcion Uno, Marikina City, on Sunday morning, August 3.

The Eastern Police District (EPD) identified the suspect as “Raymon.” He was arrested by Marikina police who were conducting an Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) in the area.
Based on the initial investigation, police officers received a radio alert through the 911 Hotline regarding an alleged robbery incident at a gasoline station in Barangay Concepcion Uno, prompting them to respond immediately.
Upon arriving at the area, they were approached by the distressed victim who asked for help and pointed to the fleeing suspect, prompting a chase that led to his arrest.
Authorities recovered the stolen item from the suspect, as well as a barbecue stick which he allegedly used to threaten the victim, causing a scratch on her neck.
The suspect is temporarily detained at the Custodial Facility of the Marikina City Police Station and will face charges for robbery with violence and intimidation.
