Sen. Francis Escudero, Gladys Villanueva, Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, Michael Leyva, and Makati Mayor Nancy Binay
Guest of honor First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos graced the event, joined by Senate President Chiz Escudero, Makati Mayor Nancy Binay, Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano, Palace Social Secretary Bianca Zobel, Palace Deputy Social Secretary Dina Arroyo-Tantoco, and Michael’s family, including his mother Merly and brother Eric.
“This atelier is the realization of a dream. To open within The Peninsula Manila — an icon of grace, opulence, and legacy — is a deep honor. I wanted to create a special and fashionable space for the people who inspire me: my muses and clients, who have become dear friends and who have helped me immerse myself in this industry and pushed me to where I am today,” the designer shared.
The atelier showcases some of Michael’s most celebrated creations, including the stunning Filipiniana worn by the First Lady and standout formal pieces worn by muse Heart Evangelista. With its soft neutral palette, custom interiors, and curated art pieces, the space reflects the designer’s signature timeless opulence. Situated at The Peninsula Manila, one of Manila’s most iconic hotels and a center for culture and the arts, the atelier stands as a testament to modern Filipino design.
