FPRRD pens new heartfelt message to children

DAVAO CITY – Veronica “Kitty” Duterte, the youngest daughter of former President Rodrigo Duterte, shared on social media on Monday, Aug. 4, a personal message from her father addressed to all his children.
The warm and humorous message offered heartfelt words to each of his children, reflecting his love, pride, and distinct sense of humor.
“To Veronica and Mira: I love you. You are growing up beautifully, and you are my eternal joy,” FPRRD wrote to Kitty, his daughter with long-time partner Honeylet Avanceña, and Mira, his youngest grandchild.
Addressing his older children—Vice President Sara Duterte, Davao City first district Rep. Paolo Duterte, and acting City Mayor Sebastian Duterte—the former Chief Executive expressed pride and encouragement.
“To Sara, Paolo, and Sebastian: I love you all. I am so proud of what you are doing and how you hold our family’s name high,” the Duterte patriarch said. 
Former President Duterte advised Rep. Paolo to do his job and do what is right, while she told Vice President Sara to keep up her good work, and God will remember it.
“Pulong, do your and do what is right. Inday, keep up your good work. God will remember it. Baste, add more girls to add to your headache. More success, mayor!” former President Duterte said. 
His message also included playful advice to his youngest daughter and grandchild. “Kitty, stay beautiful and earn more money,” he wrote. “Mira, study hard and remember that Dada loves you very much.”
The post quickly gained traction online, with many netizens expressing admiration for the former President’s candid and fatherly tone for his five children, including his granddaughter.
The country’s 16th president from 2016 to 2022 largely remained out of the public eye recently. This rare message shows his side, especially his deep affection for his family.
