DOLE: P51.8-M aid released for vulnerable workers in Calabarzon

A total of P51.8 million in wages and livelihood assistance was released to vulnerable workers in Calabarzon as part of the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) efforts to expand grassroots-level support.
The aid was provided through the Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP), with emergency jobs and livelihood packages coursed through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD).
DOLE Calabarzon Regional Director Erwin N. Aquino said the initiative highlights a whole-of-government approach to ensure no community is left behind.
“Let this ceremony serve as a reminder of what we can accomplish when we work in unity—when we transcend organizational boundaries in pursuit of a shared goal,” Aquino said.
Ma. Angelique E. Yaun, Officer-in-Charge of DOLE’s Technical Support Services Division for Employment Promotion and Workers Welfare (TSSD-EPWW), emphasized the importance of promoting long-term development for beneficiaries.
Representatives from national and local government agencies, including the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Justice–Parole and Probation Administration (DOJ-PPA), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), and the Provincial Government of Quezon, witnessed the ceremonial turnover.
DOLE reaffirmed its commitment to expanding livelihood opportunities for vulnerable sectors, in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive for a more inclusive and resilient future.
