Senior citizen, cohort yield over P600,000 shabu in Cainta drug op

A 64-year-old senior citizen and his accomplice were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Andres, Cainta, Rizal on August 2.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) identified the suspects as alias Babeng, 64, tagged as a high-value individual (HVI) for illegal drugs, and alias Pusit, 37.

The two were nabbed by operatives of the Cainta Municipal Police Station Drug Enforcement Team after an undercover police officer successfully purchased shabu from the suspects.

Authorities seized 100 grams of shabu worth P680,000 as well as other drug items from Babeng and Pusit.

Rizal PPO director Col. Feloteo Gonzalgo said the suspects were brought to the Cainta Municipal Police Custodial Facility and are facing charges for violation of R.A 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
