Korean actor Song Young-kyu found dead

Korean actor Song Young-kyu of the dramas “Love Scout” and “Big Bet” season 2 was found dead on Aug. 4. He was 55.

The Yongin Eastern Police Station in Gyeonggi Province said Song Young-kyu was found dead at about 8 a.m. KST in a car in Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si by a woman, Korean media reported.

There was no sign of foul play and no suicide note was found. The police plan to ask his family about the circumstances of his death.

His wake is at the Davos Hospital funeral home in Yongin City.

In June, Song Young-kyu was apprehended for drunk driving in Yongi and his case was forwarded to the prosecution.

Song Young-kyu debuted in a children’s musical in 1994. His other acting credits include “Reply 1988,” “Extreme Job,” “The Tale of Lady Ok," "Destined with You," "Narco-Saints" and "Hyena."
