Gary Valenciano gets emotional during concert at Big Dome
It was an emotional moment for Mr. Pure Energy, Gary Valenciano, when he performed once again at the Araneta Coliseum last July 31.
Recall that in December, Gary cut short his concert "Gary V: Pure Energy, One More Time" at the Big Dome after a few songs due to food poisoning. The OPM icon needed to be rushed to the hospital for treatment.
On Thursday, Gary thrilled the crowd once more with his dance moves when he performed at the Alagang Suki Fest 2025 for the joint celebration of the 80th anniversaries of Unilab and Mercury Drug.
After opening his set with "Shout 4 Joy," Gary was panting after an energetic performance with backup dancers.
“This is real. I get this after a high-energy number. It’s hard to live up to the expectations of the people," Gary said.
Gary also performed his classic hits Di Bale Na Lang, Sana Maulit Muli, Reachin' Out, Each Passing Night, and Huwag Mo Na Sanang Isipin. He also performed a duet with RJ dela Fuente for the inspirational song entitled "Blessings."
MAKI also wowed the crowd with his hits such as Dilaw and Saan Ka? He announced the release of his album entitled Kolorcoaster on Sept. 19.
Other performers at the historic concert were BINI, who closed the show; Darren Espanto, and the rock band Mayonnaise. Celebrities who also appeared during the show were Jolina Magdangal and Robi Domingo.
