Davao City 1st district Rep. Paolo "Pulong" Duterte is leaning on his family--particularly his brothers and sisters--during this difficult time in their political and personal lives.
On late Sunday night, Aug. 3, Rep. Duterte posted on Facebook photos of him and his three siblings Vice President Sara Duterte, Acting Davao City Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte, and half-sibling Veronica "Kitty" Duterte.
"Adversity teaches many things, but a sibling teaches you how to stand through it without falling alone," wrote the congressman and former deputy speaker.
It's not clear when the photos were taken, but Rep. Duterte's message is clear: he will look to his siblings for strength and support in the coming days.
"Pulong" recently bared the formation of the Davao group. They will be independents in the lower chamber in the 20th Congress.
Their father, former president Rodrigo Duterte, has been incarcerated with the International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague in the Netherlands since March.
