Comelec Taguig processes 3,436 applications for voter registration in 3 days

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) office in Taguig has processed more than 3,000 applications for voter registration in three days in connection with the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Elections. 

The Comelec has set the voter registration for the Dec. 1 Barangay and SK Elections from Aug. 1 to 10, and the Special Register Anywhere/Anytime Program in the National Capital Region from Aug. 1 to 7. 

According to Comelec Taguig, a total of 3,436 applications were processed from Aug. 1 to 3: 885 on Aug. 1; 1,251 on Aug. 2; and 1,300 on Aug. 3. 

The office announced that the appointment slots for voter registration from Aug. 4 to 7 are already full. 

"Pinaaalam po sa publiko na lahat ng appointment slots para sa  Voter's Registration mula Agosto 4 hanggang Agosto 7, 2025 ay puno na.Mangyaring maghintay na lamang po ng susunod na anunsyo para sa muling pagbubukas ng mga appointment slots para sa mga susunod na araw ng rehistro (The public is hereby informed that all appointment slots for Voter's Registration from August 4 to August 7, 2025 are full. Please wait for the next announcement for the reopening of appointment slots for the next registration days),” Comelec Taguig said on Aug. 3. 

Comelec offices will accept applications for new registration, change of name and status, correction of entries, reactivation of records, inclusion of registration records, reinstatement of name in the list of voters, transfer of records from foreign post to local, and updating of records for persons with disability (PWDs), senior citizens, indigenous peoples/indigenous cultural communities (IP/ICC) and other vulnerable sectors. 

No application for local transfer of registration records will be accepted.
