The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) in Calabarzon, in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), will open the first leg of its blended public consultation on minimum wage adjustment on Aug. 5.
In an advisory posted on social media, the RTWPB-IV-A said the consultation will begin at 1 p.m. at Ouans Worth Farm & Resort in Lucena City, Quezon, and will also be accessible online via Zoom through the registration link: bit.ly/44Rvn7H.
The board said the activity seeks to gather "meaningful input from both labor and employer sectors to help shape fair and responsive wage policies aligned with Calabarzon’s current economic conditions."
Stakeholders were encouraged to actively participate in the discussion, with the board emphasizing the importance of inclusive dialogue in crafting balanced wage decisions.
The most recent wage order in the region took effect on Sept. 30, 2024, granting private sector workers a daily increase of P21 to P75, implemented in two tranches.
