- Lance Carr seems to be well on his way to becoming among more important actors of his generation.
Marking the success of his first lead role in a series as Dr. Clyden Ramirez via the Viva One series, "Avenues of the Diamond," Lance Carr seems to be well on his way to becoming among more important actors of his generation.
Many agree that he did more than well in his performance in the show -- particularly for a virtual newbie.
Then again, there are some who aren't too happy about it.
During an intimate media conference held in Ortigas last Wednesday, Lance admitted that he is aware of the bashing but he has since decided to simply ignore these.
"There was a mix of emotions that surfaced on social media, but like I said earlier, I couldn't control their imagination. I just listened to them," Lance said.
As to those supportive of his work, he said, "I am quite happy and grateful. Even though I didn't expect it."
Lance is all set for his upcoming film titled, "Minamahal: Isang Daang Bulaklak Para Kay Luna," together with Ashtine Oliviga and Andres Muhlach.
"First movie ko ito where I play a siginificant role and I'm so excited because it's something new for me," he said. "I'm so blessed to work with Ashtine and Andres because sila talaga yung mga rising stars ngayon sa industry. And I'm so excited just to work with them."
The actor began his entertainment career as a housemate on Pinoy Big Brother: Otso (2018). Following his stint in the show, he took on various supporting roles in several ABS-CBN television series, including "Bawal Lumabas: The Series" (2020), "Beach Bros" (2022), "Drag You & Me" (2023), and "Dirty Linen" (2023).
Two years after officially signing a co-management deal between current manager, Patty Yap, and VAA, Lance landed his biggest break — the aforementioned lead role of Clyden Ramirez in "Avenues of the Diamond" (2025).
His relationship with Aubrey Caraan
Many were surprised to see him blend well cinematically-speaking, with co-star Aubrey Caraan.
Lance acknowledged Aubrey's huge help relating his work on the project.
"It was really a big challenge for us because we needed to work on our chemistry that quickly. But we were just really open to each other. Especially regarding boundaries, that's why we clicked," Lance said.
The press couldn't help but ask if something romantic has developed between them.
Lance replied, "Our relationship gets deeper each day. We're really getting close. We're each other's support system. And I'd say that I can lean on her whenever I have problems with my work or personal life. She's always there for me."
