Warm weather to prevail over most of the Philippines in the next 3 days — PAGASA
Warm and mostly dry conditions will prevail over most of the country in the next three days, while the southwest monsoon (habagat) continues to affect extreme Northern Luzon, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services (PAGASA) on Sunday, Aug. 3.
PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina said warm weather will continue in several parts of the country, but isolated rain showers or thunderstorms could still occur in the afternoon or evening.
Badrina said the chance of a tropical cyclone developing within the Philippine Area of Responsibility is low for the next two to three days.
On Monday, Aug. 4, scattered rains and thunderstorms will persist in Batanes due to the habagat.
From Tuesday to Wednesday, Aug. 5 to 6, most parts of the country will experience generally fair weather, with possible localized rain showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.
By Thursday, Aug. 7, PAGASA is monitoring a possible low-pressure area forming east of Luzon, which could bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas.
