Jerwin Ancajas displays vintage form in majority win over Uruguayan foe

Finding it hard to find the angle against the Uruguayan’s high guard, Ancajas put on a beautiful body work and wore down Casero, enough to sway two of the the judges to his favor, 80-72, while the other had it at 76-all.
Ancajas, who fought for the first time in the US soil after two years, improved his record to 36 wins against four losses and two draws, highlighted by 24 knockouts while Casero slid to 13-5 slate
The 33-year-old pride of Panabo City, Davao del Norte showed flashes of his old, deadly form using the slick jabs and right cross to set up his patented left straight that slipped through Casero’s defense several times.
Like a diesel engine that needed some time to heat up, Ancajas took some time before he seized control of the contest although it was largely due to the shiftiness of the counter-punching Casero.
He, however, seemed to slow down from the whistling body shots from Ancajas, who, at one point, even pummeled Casero with what looked like an eight-punch combination to the body.
Ancajas never looked back from there and while he was occasionally getting hit with counter punches from Casero, he offered no regards to Uruguayan's power and continued to charge forward and landed heavy blows.
