Convicted drug offender arrested in Taguig

Police arrested a convicted drug offender, listed as a most wanted person, during a warrant service operation in Taguig.

Alias Ronnie, 31, and a resident of Purok 5, PNR Site, Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig, was arrested by the District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) of the Southern Police District.

He was apprehended at about 9:15 p.m. in front of a supermarket on DBP Avenue, Barangay Western Bicutan. He was wanted for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) for possession of dangerous drugs in relation to the service of sentence under a criminal case issued by Presiding Judge Bernard Bernal of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 70 dated Sept.16 last year.

He is detained at the Taguig police’s custodial facility, awaiting the return of the warrant to the court.

Acting SPD District Director Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo commended the team for the arrest.
